Based off of our new NT3 throat mic system, the GP3 incorporates our Gen 3 transponder with the option of adding a variety of headphone fitments for multiple applications. This allows the GP3 to be compatible with all different types of headgear such as full faced helmets to skull helmets.

Utilizing throat mic technology used by the military, the GP3 converts vibration signals from the throat into audio voice. This allows for communication in the harshest environments without any wind or background noise. Extreme applications for the headsets include skydiving and hang gliding.

IASUS has taken throat mic communication to the next level by incorporating completely new ergonomics with different field test application results and customer feedback to redefine the standard for throat mic communication.

Aside from the covert style acoustic coil, the NT3 is completely re engineered from the bottom up. An all new improved Gen 3.0 metal transponder with an adjustable flexible throat strap with breakaway magnetic clasp are just a few of the new advancements. Integrated all into a bespoke new design with metal accents, the new NT3 once again defines a new standard for throat mic communication.

To eliminate compatibility issues, we have added an interchangeable adaptor feature for flexible application compatibility.

Blue Kangaroo Technologies is proud to be an official Iasus throat microphone
reseller. This provides our customers with the official Iasus warranty. Many
other companies sell throat mics on the Internet and eBay, but fail to provide
the after sales support and warranty that are offered by official Iasus resellers.

IASUS Concepts Ltd. was founded to facilitate product development and production
management in Asia. Their throat microphone technology division was originally
initiated as a demonstrative exercise of their abilities to execute and innovate
highly specialized technology. They are recognized as leaders in the throat
mic industry. They also back up their product with a full one year warranty
against manufacturing defects. Originally, used by the military for specialized
applications, throat mic technology was previously exclusive only to elite
military forces and specialized government departments.

IASUS Concepts introduced the Noise Terminator in order to solve the problem
of mobile communications in noisy environments. The microphone for most communication
systems is based on traditional acoustic induction from sound waves in the
air. The “noise terminator” separates the environmental noise from voice via
a non traditional method of sound induction through the vibrations of the throat.
The result is clear communication direct from the throat to the microphone
without the utilization of air as a medium of conduction. The original NT was
our entry line product, and was the superior product in it¹s class. Since it¹s
inception, they have made many advancements and improvements. They currently
have an entire range of products with individual application specific features,
making IASUS the premiere choice for throat mic communications.

Many other companies have attempted to produce “replicas” but have failed to
match the Iasus standard of product quality and their highly trained technical
service team. They are the only company in the industry to offer a true extensive
manufacturer’s warranty program.

Blue Kanagroo Technologies is an official reseller for Iasus and customers
currently include specialized clients such as the U.S. Military, S.W.A.T.,
Sheriff Departments, Security Companies, Military training facilities, Security
training facilities and Motorsport race teams. We have resold other throat
mics such as the Firefox tactical mic, but have chosen to feature Iasus mics
due to the quality of their service and their products.

From the Iasus web site, “IASUS Concepts has authorized resellers world wide.
We highly recommend purchasing our products from one of our authorized resellers
in order to ensure the best customer service and warranty service on all IASUS
products. IASUS Concepts will only offer warranty service for products purchased
from our authorized agents.”

Our most common question when it comes to using throat microphones for motorcycle usage is “will it really cut out background wind and engine noise?” Many of our customers have invested substantial sums of money in their motorcycle communication systems and find it hard to believe they can get better results from the cheaper throat mic setup. For the most part you will find the throat mic solution will work very well.

We sold some mics to a Canadian motorcycle racing team and the comments we received were amazing. They mentioned that at 180km/h they could still hear each other clearly. That convinced us that the mics would servive the needs of most casual riders.

Here are some things to watch out for:
1. Use a push to talk (PTT) button. Many mics claim they are VOX compatible, but the experience of our customers is that you will want to use a PTT button.
2. Run the cabling down your sleeve to avoid it getting it the way.
3. Use a throat strap or a mic that has a built in strap.
4. Use a decent radio. The more powerful the radio and the greater the range the better the quality of the sound. Snowmobile TV did a feature on our company a couple of years back and they loved the Motorola CP 200 radios because they were so powerful.
5. Some lady or teenage riders have thin necks - make sure there is a good contact with the neck or else there won’t be a good transmission.
6. Be patient and find the “sweet spot” on the neck. It will be easier to find it again the second time.

We have many nightclub customers that love the Iasus throat microphones. The mics are ideal for communications in loud environments. Some pointers in selecting a mic for use in a nightclub include the following:

1. Choose mic that has the best quality sound. We recommend the NT3.
2. Don’t be tempted to shout above the noise, just speak normally.
3. Use the volume switch on the radio to hear above the noise.
4. Use a throat strap or use the built in adjustable NT3 elasticated strap.
5. Use the PTT instead of relying on VOX.

Using a throat mic in a noisy nightclub setting is the best for reducing background noise. Enjoy!

Blue Kangaroo Technologies is an authorized Iasus reseller that has been supplying throat microphones to paintball teams since 2003. Prior to supplying Iasus products, Blue Kangaroo Technology supplied Firefox throat mics.

Paintball teams love to use thoat mics to improve their communication efforts. Over the past year the Garmin radios with GPS have been very popular. Some radios with programmable channels are popular too as it keeps the conversations private. If you are on a budget, the Motorola Talkabouts and Cobra single pin radios work just fine. The Midland GXT series radios work work good too. If you are in doubt as to the right connections to use, just shoot us a query on our web site and we can help you.

Hints: use the PTT. Although many throat mic resellers claim their mics work on Vox settings our experience is that the friction and heavy breathing triggers off the VOX when it shouldn’t. Also one or two word answers sometimes don’t transmit because the VOX transmission has a delay.

Use a throat strap or preferably the adjustable neck strap on the NT3. If you don’t use the strap the mics slip off the sweet spot and the voice transmission becomes fuzzy.
